OHB Board Elects Two New Members 

At OHB’s Board of Directors Meeting on February 20, two new members were elected, Dr. Lisa Sterba and Dustin R. Johnson. Both will serve as Directors on the 11-person board leading OHB. 

Lisa Sterba, Ed.D. 

Lisa’s personal philosophy is that gratitude is a superpower in every situation. She not only brings this perspective to our OHB board but also contributes her extensive experience in the education field. She is currently the Sr. Director of Programs at Avenue Scholars where she directs the operations of Avenue Scholars’ High School, Postsecondary, Business Outreach, and Student Support teams. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha and was recently a member of the Inaugural Knowability AccessEDU Leadership Panel.

Lisa dedicates much of her time to giving back to the community through volunteering. She has collected items for food drives, coached and sponsored a church youth group, and volunteered with the Special Olympics. Lisa is a member of the Gilbert C. Swanson Foundation and the St. Robert’s Ladies Guild.

Lisa and her husband Jeff have two grown children.

Dustin R. Johnson 

Hailing from Red Oak, IA, Dustin Johnson is a man of many talents. Professionally, Dustin has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the financial industry that will be valuable to the OHB Board. Since 2016, Dustin has been a Financial Consultant at TR Financial Group where he enjoys helping people cultivate the knowledge and confidence to achieve their financial goals. Additionally, he is the co-owner of Curl the Tips BBQ, LLC. Dustin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analysis and Management from Bellevue University.

Dustin has a passion for supporting the community. He is a Freemason of Nebraska and is a member of Miloma Lodge #328 AF&AM, having served previously as the lodge’s President and as a board member of the Miloma Lodge Foundation. He supports local nonprofits by serving as a fundraiser for Mustaches for Kids Omaha and is also a founding Board Member and Vice President of the Skoda-Thurber Foundation.

In his free time, Dustin’s favorite hobbies consist of tinkering in his garage, DIY projects, and most importantly, spending quality family time with his wife and their two children.
