Crypto Currency Donations

Omaha Home For Boys is now accepting cryptocurrency and the tax benefits are unmatched. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This makes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax-efficient ways to support our cause.

Grain or Livestock

An integral support component of OHB’s core programs is the Valley View 4-H Club. The club began in 1948 with seven donated calves and since then has gone on to serve hundreds of youth. Today, the club continues to positively impact the futures of struggling youth by teaching them accountability, responsibility and the value of hard work. These youth find strength and confidence in themselves that they didn’t know existed.

A Unique Way to Donate

A donation of grain, feed or livestock offers unique tax-saving opportunities to donors by reducing overall taxable income and providing a charitable benefit without filing for a charitable deduction. This donation also creates an opportunity for growth in many areas for young adults who have had few opportunities in life.

You should always review donation opportunities with your personal tax advisor.

Scholarship Program

OHB is committed to helping youth reach their full academic and career potential. As part of that goal, OHB has scholarships available for youth, both current and alumni, through the generosity of friends of OHB.

Your gift to the scholarship fund is a way to directly help youth in their pursuit of higher education or career goals, helping them become active, productive community members. Many young adults receiving scholarships have worked against the odds to better their futures.

Donate to Youth Mart

Youth Mart is a donation center that serves former foster youth ages 16 to 24 as they face the transition into living independently without a solid network of support. Youth Mart is operated by Partnership 4 Hope and many young adults from OHB utilize Youth Mart.

Young adults are allowed to shop free of charge at Youth Mart for household essentials, furniture and personal care items.

Youth Mart cannot help young adults get started on the right foot without the donations that are so graciously given throughout the year.
