As a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, Michael Branon inspires younger sailors by teaching them values that were instilled in him 18 years ago here at Omaha Home for Boys.
“Honestly, I thought I would be on the streets all my life,” shared Dinero. “I feel proud of myself and happy to be here. It’s turned out to be something good.”
When twenty-year-old Bennett started looking for his first apartment, he was a bit overwhelmed. He recalls thinking “Rent is so much! Where do I even start?”
When twenty-year-old Genesis connected with OHB’s Supportive Housing Program she gained so much more than just a roof over her head. She found a family.
It’s been nearly 20 years since Larry was at OHB, but even today at 33 years old, he still finds himself utilizing skills he learned here as a teen.
