When Anthony was a teenager, his troubles ran deep. Would he ever overcome the grips of addiction and street life?
The skills David learned years ago as a teenager at Omaha Home for Boys are ones that he’s still applying today.
Before connecting with OHB’s Supportive Housing Program, Damon bounced around from house to house never really having a place to call home. He had a substance abuse problem that led to issues with gaining and maintaining employment. Damon says he was evicted at least four times since moving out on his own at the age of 17.
Joseph had parents who were around but that’s about it. He was stuck in the unrelenting grip of addiction. He was roaming the streets and rarely went to school. And he was only 17 years old.
