A note from Tommie:

What you briefly see in this video is just a portion of all of the highs and lows that have impacted my life and brought me to where I am today. 

I have always used humor as a sort of coping mechanism, so sometimes I tend to downplay just how crappy my childhood was. 

Sometimes humor was the only thing that got me through the thick of it, the neglect, the instability, and all of the foster homes. I had seven different placements growing up. 

But then, when I got older, something else got me through … my drive and my determination to be the person I needed to be.

I remember I was sitting in the Planet Fitness parking lot in the middle of the pandemic feeling really defeated, and I got a call from OHB and it was my lifeline, Sarah. 

I finally had someone consistent in my corner to help me make my dreams a reality. 

If I had not connected with OHB and met Sarah, I truly do not believe I would be standing here today as a first-generation college graduate! 

I want to sincerely thank everyone for supporting OHB and for changing my life in such an incredible way!
