Charles Dominates Medical Terminology Course

Jane Erdenberger, a teacher at the Omaha Home for Boys School, recently raved about one of her students and his determination to earn a credit in the challenging and very demanding Medical Terminology class. Here’s what she had to say about Charles and his persistence:

“I just want everyone to know that Charles completed his two-semester Medical Terminology class today with an awesome class grade of 82%.

The course was very challenging and required an impressive amount of notetaking. Charles literally filled an entire notebook with handwritten notes on both sides of every page. Charles also had to display a lot of determination and attention to detail. I had to borrow my ‘doctor neighbor’s’ medical dictionary to supplement the computer class, and Charles made good use of looking up obscure terms and inspecting diagrams of the thoracic cavity, etc.

I know we have sung Charles’ praises before, but I was especially impressed by this achievement and wanted to share it with you.

PS: I saved Charles’ notebook, so if you decide to take the class, for a small fee I will let you borrow it!”

The Omaha Home for Boys School opened in August 2014 with six students and has grown to include all new residential youth once they arrive on campus. The school’s goal is to provide educational programming that enhances learning and leads to school success, graduation, employment or higher education.
